Pizza giants Dominos have released reports claiming a 28.6% rise in profits.
The reports claim that the social media like facebook and the affiliate programme have had a large impact in these profits, there are 36000 fans already on Dominos facebook and this has resulted in many more orders for the company.
Actual orders from the social network have accounted for 26.2% for all UK orders.
Chief executive, Chris Moore, stated: “We have also been increasing our online activity to grow this sector of our customer base”.
This is a prime example of the power of facebook and other social network websites and I am sure the marketing people at Dominos Pizza are pretty proud of themselves and it is further proof that these sites can help businesses earn cash online with the correct tactics.

its raining money again?
As some readers will know I live in the UK and to be honest the weather is so unpredictable to the point I have to do a recon mission every morning to decide what’s going to happen next.
One day it is 30 degrees and very hot and the next it is 15 degrees with torrential rain basically you can’t win…….unless hmmmm you can make some money from it? I have recently been noticing how businesses take advantage of our continually changing weather; I will use some supermarket techniques that I have noticed recently.
I can imaging now the marketing manager of a large UK supermarket sat in his office watching the 5 day weather forecast of Great Britain and seeing that there is going to be a chance of hot weather for the weekend and rushing down to the warehouse with his clipboard shouting “right lads lets get the barbeque equipment out” and this does actually happen. I have seen supermarkets predict the weather faster than the Met office and have a display within the hour at the entrance to the supermarket.
It is even funnier to see the change a few days later when nothing but rain is forecast for the rest of the week and the umbrellas and rain coats have soon replaced the sun loungers and barbeques at the shops entrance, and that’s the nature of this country you just cant predict more than a few days in advance when weather is concerned.
But this is where all of the supermarkets earn the profits and make plenty of money and I suppose it would get a bit boring if we had the same weather for 6 months. I am seriously thinking on stocking up on raincoats and sun cream and been prepared for whatever happens maybe just maybe I may just earn some extra cash but knowing my luck we would have a 6 month heat wave and I am stuck with 2000 raincoats.

I was In Egypt last week and seen how money can be obsessive to some people especially for those in poorer countries, where we will try and easily make money online I found that the Egyptians will try absolutely anything.
My thoughts I am about to rant about is by no means a definition of every Egyptian I met many people where very helpful and great to chat to but there is a problem in the tourist areas where money is everything and everything or anyone is money.
The first issue I encountered was when I landed at the airport and was set upon by Egyptian airport workers pretending to be holiday reps even sporting the ID badge and clipboard, these pretend reps where ushering unsuspected holiday makers into their queue to buy the Visas to enter the country they where shouting and pushing into their section before anyone could take notice of where they actually was, Unfortunately these poor travellers at to pay more money for the visas whereas I paid $5 less and got through airport security faster.
There was another experience in the airport that could actually make people very insecure. I was followed into the toilet by the cleaners who incidentally took away all of the toilet tissue paper away and then insisted that you pay cash to have a small piece to use, if you got passed this ordeal they would then wait for you at the door holding their hand out for more money, I was aware of this before I came and was prepared a swift NO sent them away.
Earning money in Egypt must be very competitive with no real organisation and control, the taxi drivers would physically fight each other to get your fare and would pester you to get into their Taxi even if you did not need one!! I was getting transferred to my hotel by bus but the taxi drivers still insisted that I was going in their cab and even tried to take my luggage from me. When I eventually got to the coach waiting for us I was relieved but my relief was short lived because the driver then insisted that I pay him for him to put my luggage on the coach I declined and said I would do it myself he was not a happy man, on arrival to the hotel the driver then stood at the exit holding a basket for more tips, The trip was only 10 minutes and I had pre paid the holiday company for this service and would have probably tipped the driver if he was more polite, this guy would do anything for more cash.
This ordeal of harassment carried on throughout my vacation every time I wanted to take a pee in a public toilet someone was stood behind me waving toilet paper at me they even tried to sell me soap to wash my hands. When I entered a shop to buy something they would lock the door and try and sell me everything their obsession to make more money was incredible and they never gave up, they where simply good at it and it did not bother them. I often wondered if I gave these guys a laptop and a website what could they do? I think these guys with the knowledge could earn money online with ease.
I met many nice Egyptians and many of them deserved tips and I tipped them, they will treat you very well in the hotels and deserve any extra cash they can get. But you need to be prepared and expect the attention you will receive from the less fortunate people that will try absolutely anything to money from you.
